The Queen bee is the leader of the bee colony, and at STEMbees, we are empowering Ghanaian girls to break barriers and overcome challenges to follow their passion and lead the future in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
“ If we’re going to out-innovate and out-educate the rest of the world, we’ve got to open doors for everyone. We need all hands on deck, and that means clearing hurdles for women and girls as they navigate careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. ”
WHAT WE DO
STEM 1.0 involves Advocacy and Communication programs to create awareness and garner interest in STEM fields. The program focuses on early introduction and exposure to the different career opportunities in STEM in addition to interactive computer science workshops to educate and empower them.
STEM 2.0 is our Programmatic efforts designed to develop these girls in STEM to build STEM careers. It is structured to close the gap between the often binary worlds of “school” and “work”. Modules include introduction to Robotics, 3D Technology and Printing, Electronics, Cyber-Security and LEGO Education.
